THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PARENTING STYLE AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN

<p><strong>Background:</strong> Parenting styles for children are given from an early age, which is a way of educating to form personalities that will be carried into adulthood. affect children's development both in gross motor and fine skills, personal social interactions, language.</p><p><strong>Objective:</strong> The aim the study was determine strength relationship between parenting style pre-school at Posyandu Kaliboto Karanganyar.</p><p><strong>Method:</strong> research method quantitative cross-sectional. At Posyandu, under-five population studied by taking samples using Slovin formula obtaining 85 respondents who met criteria being parents having under age five (aged 3-5 years). instruments used were questionnaire Denver Development Screening Test (DDST) sheet measure children. Data analysis Spearman<em> rank</em></p><p><strong>Result:</strong> results showed 57.6% practiced democratic parenting, 62.4% normal child development. bivariate with Rank obtained</em> p value 0.000 positive correlation coefficient 0.547.</p><p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> There medium-strength preschool-aged Kaliboto. applied majority democratic, normal. It expected basis apply manner order optimize preschool children.</p><p> </p>
